The Deezies Afterparty, 10-3-2006
(cue instrumental - 50 Cent, "In Da Club")
TJ: This is the Deezies Afterparty! Ty Jackson here, the host of the only show that takes a weekly look at the Deezies fa Sheezies. The Deezies finally got the monkey off their backs, handing -1 Insightful a 138-to-90 loss to move to .500 on the season. DeShaun Foster scored the Deezies' first rushing touchdown since week one with a 43-yard scamper, and Steve Smith finally hit paydirt in his second game back. This week, the Deezies play host to the Flint Bullets, who picked up their first win of the season. We'll talk to Coach Deezy about the past, present, and future, in just a moment.
TJ: Thank you for joining us for another edition of the Deezies Afterparty, airing in syndication across all 48 continental states on the Deezies Sportsradio Network. [fade out instrumental] I'm Ty Jackson, joined once again in the studio by the man of the hour... C-Deezy fa Sheezy!
<"applause" sound effect>
CD: Yo, much luv to all my peeps in the A-Deuce and beyond. We fa sheezy 'til we die, word life.
TJ: Deezy, this win had to have relieved some of the pressure that had been put on the team.
CD: Yo, this was a big win against a quality team... Coach Mooch is prolly one'a the best in this business, so to get a win like that, yo, it's humblin'.
TJ: Are you serious?
CD: Naw, I ain't serious! Coach Mooch is a punk-ass busta who cain't coach his way outta wet paper bag, yo! And his team is full of marks that ain't got no talent! My gramma coulda whooped they team, and she been dead ten years! Yo, Mooch! "Kelly Osbourne" just whooped yo' ass, ya know what I'm sayin'? Holla!
TJ: Deezy, there was some controversy toward the end of the game... the Deezies had the ball in -1 Insightful territory, third down, and all you needed was a first down to keep the clock running and seal the game. Instead, you call a sweep to DeShaun Foster, who ran 43 yards for the touchdown. Now, there were some critics... and I don't need to name names... who accused you of running up the score out of spite. I have to ask you, point-blank, did you run up the score?
CD: Yo, anyone who knows anything about what it means to be Deezies fa Sheezies know that we ain't got but one speed. It ain't our fault if they linemen cain't tackle. If they gonna let us put up the six, we gonna put up the six, cuz you never know when hell might freeze over and they score thirty-somethin' points in the last minute.
TJ: One more question before we take a break... Keith Bulluck left the game and didn't return. What's his status for this week?
CD: Bulluck's a monster, word life! He's had a nagging knee problem for a minute now, and it kinda seized up on 'im, so we had to get it all checked out. He's a true playa fa' reela, so he gon' be on the field come Sunday. You can dig that, sucka!
TJ: C-Deezy fa Sheezy, obviously very happy with his team's performance this past weekend. We're gonna take a minute to hear from some advertisers, [fade in instrumental], but we're gonna be right back. This is the Deezies Afterparty on the Deezies Sportsradio Network. [fade out instrumental]
(pre-recorded comments from MARC BULGER)
MB: I didn't really think about it. We didn't change what we do just because of who we were playing. We hoped they didn't score points, but we knew we had to score at least 100 or 120 points.
(end pre-recorded comments)
TJ: That was Marc Bulger, talking to reporters after the Deezies fa Sheezies defeated -1 Insightful on Sunday, 138-to-90. Deezy, I know you don't talk about Bulger that much, but he's having an excellent year so far.
CD: Yo, let's be true. One'a tha things that we be workin' on is minimizing the turnovers. We still got some problems with the fumbles, cuz a lotta these cats are startin' from scratch with our run game, but Bulger's been great at holdin' onto the ball instead'a throwin' into coverage. It's big that he ain't got no interceptions... you cain't find me anyone who's played all four games with that kinda stat, unless he ain't no quarterback.
TJ: This week, the team gets to stay at home and welcome the Flint Bullets to town. Talk to us about Coach Sims and his team.
CD: Yo, I know Coach Sims don't get a lotta respect anymore, but personally, I always get prepared for him, ya know what I'm sayin'? My first game in the league, I thought I was gon' be top dog from the go. I took my team up to Kelly Johnson Memorial, and the Sawyer Pilots sent us back home with torn skirts, yo! They had they way with us and din't e'en leave no tip! That's when I knew that being in the FFF was serious business on the real. Now, we played a few times since then, and, yeah, he's had trouble puttin' together a team, but look at some of the guys he's had go through his system... Domanick Davis, Kevin Jones, DeShaun Foster, Roy Williams, Michael Vick... you're lookin' at some of the best talent to ever lace up, ya know what I'm sayin'? And look what he's doin' for Reggie Bush and Mike Bell. So mad props to Coach Sims, cuz he's gonna need 'em against us.
TJ: The Bullets have been known as a ground-and-pound team, often using a double tight-end set. Will you do anything different this week to prepare your defense?
CD: We adjusted after the Spartan Dominance game, when they put three sixes on the ground against us. Those is the only ground scores we done gave up, so we must be doin' something right. Big up to Ray Lewis, who's been keepin' things ti-ight.
TJ: I always gotta ask, but do you have a prediction for this week?
CD: Yeah, I gotta prediction. I predict that V!AGR_Az comes up short like Bud Bundy this week. Holla!
TJ: That's not exactly the answer I expected, but we'll take it. You're listening to the Deezies Afterparty on the Deezies Sportsradio Network.... we'll be right back.
TJ: We're getting ready to wrap up the Afterparty, but first, we've got the segment that you've all been waiting for... Deezy's gonna step into the booth and hit us with another one of his signature freestyles. Deezy, take it away!
CD: (cue "Bang Bang" instrumental) C-Deezy, yo. oh-six. Takin' some shots at the Flint Bullets...
TJ: C-Deezy fa Sheezy, keepin' it on point! I'm Ty Jackson. The Deezies fa Sheezies are hosting the Flint Bullets this Sunday, so if you don't have tickets, hurry up and get them before they're sold out. And don't forget to join us here next Tuesday for another edition of the Afterparty! One love!
