A review of all the Shrek movies

I watch all four ‘Shrek’ movies. So I will give a quick review of all four.

The first ‘Shrek’ movie was original story that took some awesome shoots at Disney. Plus it helped bring back Eddie Murphy as a relevant actor. This movie came at a high point in Mike Myers career. It was funny for all ages. It was a great cast: Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and John Lithgow. With that being said, the characters that the above actors played are very rememberable. Such as: Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona and John Lithgow as Lord Farquaad, there was also other rememberable characters such as Pinocchio and Gingerbread Man and The BIG BAD Wolf. Shrek also had some awesome lines:

Donkey: You might have seen a housefly, maybe even a superfly, but I bet you ain't never seen a donkey fly. Ha, ha.

Lord Farquaad: [Wiping spit from his face] I've tried to be fair to you creatures, now my patience has reached it's end! Tell me or I'll...
Gingerbread Man: NO! Not the buttons! Not my gumdrop buttons!
Lord Farquaad: Alright then! Who's hiding them?
Gingerbread Man: Ok. I'll tell you. Do you know... the muffin man?
Lord Farquaad: The muffin man?
Gingerbread Man: The muffin man.
Lord Farquaad: Yes, I know the muffin man. W-who lives on Drewery Lane?
Gingerbread Man: Well, she's married to the muffin man.
Lord Farquaad: The muffin man?
Gingerbread Man: THE MUFFIN MAN!
Lord Farquaad: She's married to the muffin man...

Shrek: Ogres are like onions.
Donkey: They stink?
Shrek: Yes. No.
Donkey: Oh, they make you cry.
Shrek: No.
Donkey: Oh, you leave em out in the sun, they get all brown, start sproutin' little white hairs.
Shrek: NO. Layers. Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. Onions have layers. You get it? We both have layers.
Donkey: Oh, you both have layers. Oh. You know, not everybody like onions.

Donkey: Hi, princess.
Princess Fiona: It talks.
Shrek: Yeah, but it's getting him to shut up that's the trick.

‘Shrek 2’ and ‘Shrek’ were on the same level of being funny. The whole cast was back beside John Lithgow, but they add a new and other rememberable characters Puss in Boots played by Antonio Banderas. .  I think Puss in Boots stole this movie and keep it to up to level of the first ‘Shrek’. Everything I said about ‘Shrek’ can be applied to ‘Shrek 2’. There were is some awesome chemistry with the cast in ‘Shrek 2’. There were some awesome lines in this movie, such as:

Captain of the Guards: Yep, that's catnip...
Puss-in-Boots: Um... that's... not mine...

Receptionist: Look, she's not seeing any clients today. Okay?
Shrek: That's okay, buddy. We're from the union.
Receptionist: The union?
Shrek: We represent the workers in all magical industries, both evil and benign.
Receptionist: Oh, of course.
Shrek: Are you feeling at all degraded or oppressed?
Receptionist: A little. We don't even have dental.
Shrek: They don't even have dental. Okay, we're gonna have a look around. And buddy, it would be better if the Fairy Godmother doesn't know about this. Know what I mean? Hmm?
Donkey: Hmm?
Shrek: Hmm?
Donkey: Huh? Huh? Huh?
Shrek: Stop it.

[Shrek has grabbed Puss-in-boots]
Donkey: I say we take the sword and neuter him right here! Give him the Bob Barker treatment!

Princess Fiona: Shrek?
Puss-in-Boots: For you, baby, I could be.

Shrek: Quick tell a lie!
Pinocchio: What should I say?
Donkey: Say something crazy... like you're wearing ladies underwear.
Pinocchio: Um, ok. I'm wearing ladies underwear.
Pinocchio: [silence]
Shrek: Are you?
Pinocchio: I most certainly am not.
Pinocchio: [nose extends] .
Donkey: It looks like you most certainly am are.
Pinocchio: I am not.
Pinocchio: [nose extends]
Puss-in-Boots: What Kind?
Gingerbread Man: IT'S A THONG!

‘Shrek the Three’ has nothing memorable to talk about. ‘Shrek the Three’ was has memorable as an episode of the TV show ‘Gray’s Anatomy’. One of the many reasons the third was not good is they got a way from the theme of the first two ‘Shrek’ movie There is nothing good I can say about ‘Shrek the Three’. So I am not going to waste my time talking about it, so you do have to waste your time reading about it/ You could throw this movie out of the series and you would not miss any or lose anything. The best word that could describe ‘Shrek the Three’ came from ‘Shrek Forever After’. When Donkey said to Puss And Boots he is a “cat-tastrophe.” This movie is a cat-tastrophe.

‘Shrek Forever After’ is on the level of first two ‘Shrek’ movie. It has the chemistry/feel the first two ‘Shrek’ movie had. They went back to the theme of the first two ‘Shrek’ movie and put a twist on it. Really all the other two good ‘Shrek’ movies had the same theme.  This was a great end to ‘Shrek’ movies series. ‘Shrek Forever After’ is the first ‘Shrek’ movie with a twist. ‘Shrek Forever After’ is almost like a reboot to end the series.  Here are some of best quotes from the movie:

Donkey: Why don't you just tell her what you told me? You know, about how you're her true love and you came from an alternate universe.
Shrek: Oh, and while I'm at it, why don't I tell her that you're married to a fire breathing dragon and you have little mutant donkey dragon babies?
Donkey: I do?
Shrek: You saw what happened. She's going to think I'm crazy.
Donkey: I'm a daddy?

Butterpants: Do the roar!

Donkey: Man, you are a cat-tastrophe.
Puss in Boots: And you, are ri-donk-ulous.
[Both laugh]
